Lions Sometimes Forget They Are Wild Animals

There is something that many of us have experienced when we have a pet in the home. Regardless of whether they are cats or dogs or any other pet, they bond with us and, at times, they even become closer than family. When we leave home, they are sorry to see us go and will typically wait faithfully by the door until we return again. It is when we return, however, that the magic really happens.

The experience of being greeted by an animal when we come through the door is absolutely amazing. It makes us feel good on the inside, because we realize that someone loves us for who we are and they are happy to see us. Certainly, we are happy to see them as well. We often think about this with smaller animals but as you are about to see, even lions can show this type of behavior.

This lion lives on a wildlife preserve in South Africa and ever since she was a baby, she has been taken care of by the handler in this video. When he goes to see her, she can’t help but jump in his arms and the two of them seem to have a wonderful relationship.
