There is something that happens in nature all around us and in many cases, we are unaware of the fact that it takes place. I’m talking about the circle of life, in particular, the fact that new life is entering into the world on a regular basis. Depending upon the time of year, there may be animals in your area that are also giving birth, and it often takes place behind the scenes without us realizing it.
From time to time, we are presented with an opportunity to see new life in action. That was the case with this family, who happened to have a newborn fawn on their front porch. Although it may have been a rather unusual area for the deer to find itself, it is quite amazing in the fact that the deer continues to lay still, hoping to fool the cat that is now investigating.
There is an old saying that Curiosity killed the cat, but I don’t think this particular cat has any danger to his life. He certainly is curious, however, but the little deer isn’t having any part of it. Regardless of where this ultimately went, it sure is cute to watch.
