Many different types of animals bond as a family and the mother will care for the young, even at the risk of her own life. In many cases, the mother is able to do things that will care for her young children and will keep them safe from danger. From time to time, however, difficulties may arise and, if the animal is fortunate, humans may interact to save the day. That was what happened with this family of ducks.
Most of us are probably familiar with seeing young ducklings following their mother and they follow her anywhere she goes. Unfortunately, the mother walked across a street grate and, although it was fine for her, her little ducklings followed and fell right through the holes. Suddenly, the mother was by herself and all of her baby ducklings were down in the storm drain, begging to be set free.
Of course, there was nothing that the mother duckling could do in this case, but fortunately, there were some kind people who decided to lend a helping hand. They were able to lift the storm grate to access the ducklings and before you know it, the young ducklings were again following their mother wherever she went.
