When animals exist in the wild, they typically like to stay away from humans and allow for a degree of separation that makes them comfortable. In many cases, it also helps to keep humans comfortable as well. That is especially true if the animal is particularly dangerous. As you are about to see, however, there are times when animals may cross the line and when it happens, it certainly makes for a very interesting video.
The people in this video were doing a night dive looking for Manta Ray when a most unusual guest happened to show up. It was a bottlenose dolphin and, although these animals can be friendly, it was acting particularly distressed. As it turns out, it was looking for a helping hand from the humans and they were in line to give that assistance. It was all caught on video so that all of us can enjoy it.
The bottlenose dolphin had a fishing hook and some line stuck in its left pectoral fin. This may not have been a life-threatening situation but it was certainly one that would’ve been uncomfortable. Fortunately, the man was able to remove the hook with surgeon like precision and the dolphin swam away happy.
