Laboratory Chimps Caged for 30 Years Finally Released

Many of us enjoy seeing animals, but we don’t have the opportunity to see them in the wild. One of the ways in which we can view animals is by going to a local zoo, and many zoos care for the animals in the best way possible. The unfortunate reality of the world that we live in, however, is that not all animals are cared for as they should be. In fact, some of them are kept quite cruelly.

One of the ways that this type of captivity exists is when animals are kept for scientific research. That was the case for these chimpanzees, which were kept locked up inside of a laboratory for 30 years. They were never able to see the outside world, feeling the sun on their fur or breathing fresh air. Many chimpanzees will live and die in such an environment but for these fortunate chimpanzees, they got their first taste of freedom.

It is quite heartwarming to watch these animals as they step outside for the first time in their life. After being indoors for all that time, they suddenly get there first taste of freedom and after a little bit of hesitation, it doesn’t take them long before they begin enjoying it.
