Many of us are quite amazed over the abilities of certain birds to mimic human speech. In fact, some of them go beyond mimicking the speech of humans and they can even mimic other sounds that are made, both in nature and that are man-made. A cockatiel is a prime example, and they have made wonderful pets for many families. Watching a cockatiel can certainly put a smile on your face, but it appears as if a cockatiel can be quite happy as well.
This cockatiel was obviously having a good day and he wants everybody to know it. He whistles the tune “If You’re Happy and You Know It” and he even makes the sound effect of clapping your hands. He continues to do it, and you can almost see the smile on his face as he is performing for the camera.
Regardless of whether you have ever had a cockatiel or not, you have to admit that they are wonderful birds. Even people who don’t necessarily like birds are quite fascinated with the fact that these birds can do what they do. One thing is certain, after watching this video, it is hard not to be happy and know it.
